By Dimitris Minarentzis/ info@eurohoops.net

Fenerbahce announced the termination of its cooperation with Mikael Jantunen (26 years old, 2.04m).

The Finnish international forward and Fenerbahce had signed a two-year contract last summer (2025), but eventually proceeded with an early termination of their cooperation using the opt-out clause.

Newcomer Braxton Key, Spanish champion with Valencia, is expected to take Jantunen’s role in the rotation.

Jantunen joined Fenerbahce from Paris, and this season (2025-26) he averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds with 32% from three-point range in 18:35 minutes per game, while in the French team he had 7.5 points and 4.8 rebounds with 38.5% beyond the arc, playing 25:30 per game.

With Fenerbahce, Jantunen won the Turkish League title, the Turkish Cup, and the President’s Cup.
