Dimitris Giannakopoulos announced some very pleasant news for Panathinaikos fans during a late-night live session on Instagram.
The owner of the club mentioned that not only will Juancho Hernangomez continue to wear the “greens,” but he will also offer a new contract to the Spanish forward, with a duration determined by the player himself.
This is what Giannakopoulos said:
“They say we’ll let Juancho go. Who will let Juancho go? What do they think? How many years do you think we should offer him tomorrow? I say we write on a piece of paper ‘We want you to play for as long as you want, we leave it up to you.’ And we sign it. And let him fill in the rest.”
After two seasons with Estudiantes and seven in the NBA, Juancho joined Panathinaikos in 2023. With PAO, he won the EuroLeague in 2024, a Greek championship, and two Greek cups.
