Hapoel Tel Aviv has officially announced the signing of Tomáš Satoranský on a one-year contract through the end of the 2026-27 season.

The 34-year-old Czech point guard arrives after four seasons with FC Barcelona, where he averaged 7.0 points, 4.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds in the EuroLeague last season while shooting 48.9% from three-point range.

Satoranský brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Sevilla and Barcelona before spending six seasons in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs. He returned to Barcelona in 2022 and now begins a new chapter in Tel Aviv.

I’m very excited to join Hapoel,” Satoranský said after the announcement. “I can’t wait to meet everyone and take on this new challenge. See you soon!

Sporting director George Hinas praised the signing, calling Satoranský “exactly the type of player you want on a team that aims to win,” while head coach Dimitris Itoudis highlighted the veteran’s leadership, defensive ability and team-first mentality.

Satoranský has also enjoyed an outstanding international career, leading the Czech national team to a sixth-place finish at the FIBA World Cup, seventh at EuroBasket and an appearance at the Tokyo Olympics.
