Real Madrid has officially extended Sergio Llull’s contract through the end of the 2026-27 season, ensuring the club legend will return for a remarkable 21st campaign in the famous white jersey.
The 38-year-old captain, who joined Los Blancos in 2007, is the club’s all-time leader in appearances with 1,249 games and has won 29 trophies, including three EuroLeague titles and nine Spanish League championships.
Llull averaged 3.1 points and 1.5 assists in 40 EuroLeague appearances last season, helping Real Madrid reach the Championship Game. The extension will also see him become the first player in EuroLeague history to compete in 20 seasons with the same club.
The veteran guard is the competition’s all-time leader in games played (487) and three-pointers made (712), while also ranking seventh in scoring and sixth in assists, further cementing his place among the greatest players in European basketball history.
