Armoni Brooks will play for Valencia Basket next season on loan from ASVEL, according to Chema de Lucas.
The 28-year-old guard joined ASVEL earlier this summer but is now set to leave without making an official appearance, following the financial uncertainty that disrupted the French club’s ambitious project.
Brooks had drawn interest from several EuroLeague teams, with Real Madrid previously mentioned among his possible destinations, while Partizan withdrew from the race.
ASVEL was forced to significantly revise its plans after failing to finalize a major investment agreement on time. Its projected budget reportedly dropped from €59 million to approximately €24 million.
Sylvain Francisco has already left the club to join Panathinaikos, while Brooks is expected to spend the 2026-27 season with Valencia before remaining under contract with ASVEL.
