ASVEL entered the new season very ambitiously, but due to a lack of funds, they had to part ways with several players even before the season began.
The club saw the departures of Sylvain Francisco, Daniel Theis, and Armoni Brooks, who went on loan to Valencia.
ASVEL has been the focus of the basketball community in recent weeks, and Parker gave an interview to Legend, where he stated that he sees himself one day winning the NBA Europe with ASVEL.
However, to avoid any misinterpretations of his statement, Parker immediately took to social media to emphasize that ASVEL is currently part of the EuroLeague and that he envisions the club at the top of a unified competition, which he believes the EuroLeague and NBA will manage to agree on.
“Just to clarify and to avoid any misunderstanding, we are a EuroLeague team now. I’d like to see Euroleague and NBA find a deal and LDLC ASVEL win the fusion of this competition.”
In the mentioned interview, Parker stated that he sees ASVEL as the winner of NBA Europe.
“My dream would be to win with ASVEL one day and become NBA Europe champion. That would be huge. “I think the best investment, if everything goes well, will be ASVEL with NBA Europe.”
