The EuroLeague Players Association partners with Time Chamber Basketball to launch a preseason camp in Barcelona.

Additional details were shared on Friday.

Per the press release: “The EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA) has hosted its first-ever PreSeason Camp, held from August 3 to 7 in Barcelona, Spain. Organized in partnership with Time Chamber Basketball (TCB), the camp brought together EuroLeague players for a week of high-level training and physical preparation ahead of the new season.

The camp took place at the Institut Nacional d’Educació Física de Catalunya (INEFC), a recently renovated facility on the Montjuïc hill closely linked to the legacy of the 1992 Olympic Games, offering three full basketball courts and a state-of-the-art weight room.

The program was built around one core idea: arriving at the new season ready. Each training session was led by multiple TCB coaches using a methodology centered on replicating real in-game situations — helping players sharpen their decision-making, improve their efficiency, and build comfort under pressure. Prior to the camp, coaching staff conducted thorough video and data analysis of each attending player to ensure the work was tailored to individual strengths and areas of development.

“This camp is a really good stepping stone for players to start preparing a little bit earlier,” said Donatas Motiejunas. “When the pre-season starts, I will be in a certain shape that’s going to actually help me to enter the season already in a good rhythm, in a good shape.”

Strength and conditioning sessions ran alongside the on-court programme, covering speed, agility, power, and endurance. Recovery specialists were available on site throughout the week, ensuring that every aspect of their physical wellbeing was accounted for.

“I thought it was a really good opportunity to come and start engraining myself back into European culture. I thought it was a good opportunity to get connected with players that are in a similar situation as me and playing over here, at the highest level,” noted Lamar Stevens. “You have everything you want here: treatment, lifts, court work and life situations. That’s just all been good for my mental and physical preparation for the season.”

The ELPA Pre-Season Camp marks a new chapter in the association’s offering to its members. It is the kind of initiative that speaks to what ELPA is here to do: create the conditions for players to perform at their best, together.”
