Keenan Evans has returned to the Zalgiris Kaunas organization after agreeing to a contract under a 1+1 formula, the Lithuanian club officially announced.

The 29-year-old guard will spend the 2026/27 season on loan with the London Lions, coached by Tautvydas Sabonis.

I communicated with Keenan Evans frequently throughout his rehabilitation, so we know his situation and the stage of recovery he is currently in,Zalgiris president Paulius Jankunas said. “As he says himself, this rehabilitation is psychologically easier because he has already gone through it before. He is pushing himself hard and is ahead of schedule.

Evans previously played for Zalgiris from 2022 to 2024, establishing himself among the EuroLeague’s leading guards. He averaged 15.9 points and a 17.4 PIR during the 2022/23 campaign before suffering an Achilles injury.

After returning the following season, he appeared in all 34 EuroLeague regular-season games and posted 17.3 points and an 18.3 PIR per contest. However, his campaign ended with a serious knee injury suffered during the Lithuanian League playoffs.

Evans joined Olympiacos in the summer of 2024 and missed the entire 2024/25 season. He returned to action in November 2025 but suffered another Achilles injury three days after his comeback, during a EuroLeague game against Zalgiris.

In London, Evans will reunite with Sabonis and assistant coach Gintaras Krapikas, both of whom worked with him during his previous spell in Kaunas.
