After 155 NBA appearances, MarJon Beauchamp takes his talents to the EuroLeague, joining FC Bayern Munich.
The deal was announced on Wednesday.
Per the press release: “Just over a week before training starts with their new coach Anton Gavel on August 21, Bayern Basketball have further strengthened their roster for the 2026/2027 season: MarJon Beauchamp, a first-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft class, will bolster Germany’s only EuroLeague team next season at the small forward position. The 25-year-old U.S. international arrives with experience from 155 NBA games; last season he played 14 as a two-way player for the Philadelphia 76ers.
In 2024, Beauchamp was a member of the Milwaukee roster (48 games, 12.7 minutes per game, 4.4 points per game), which won the inaugural NBA Cup that year. The Bucks had drafted him two years earlier at pick 24. After four years in the volatile business of the North American major league — and with four franchises as well as G League affiliates — Munich is now the first stop for the 2.01-meter combo guard from Washington State. Last fall, he played twice for Team USA in World Cup qualifying and scored a total of 50 points.

“I want to grow as a player at Bayern”
“I won’t hide the fact that I see myself as an NBA player, but this step to Europe is part of my journey now, and I’m really excited to play for Coach Anton and Bayern,” says “MJ” Beauchamp. “I want to grow as a player at Bayern and become a better basketball player. I want to prove my talent and learn every day how the game is played in Europe — I’m a quick learner, and I’ll prove that in every practice.”
What does he want to bring to the team? “I see myself as a big, athletic wing who can play both positions. Pick-and-roll, catch-and-shoot, I get out in transition quickly and can defend the opponent’s best player — I hope you’ll see all of that soon!”
Beauchamp has already spoken with Gavel; the coach says: “With MarJon we’ve made our final external signing, and we’re very happy he chose Munich. We expect him to give us a spark on both ends of the floor: offensively, he can score and elevate the team through his individual quality; and defensively, his size and athleticism allow him to keep the man in front — he fits our concept perfectly.”
“A strong defender and versatile attacker”
Bayern’s sporting director Thorsten Leibenath, who will complete the FCBB roster shortly, is also pleased about the sixth signing of the summer: “We were looking for a player who can influence our game in many ways — that’s what MarJon will do, because he’s both a strong defender and a versatile attacker. Equipped with a good drive to the basket, he will make our game faster; but he can also appear as a playmaker for others. We deliberately opted for a young player who, despite his quality, still has development potential. He now wants to showcase himself on the European stage, and we’re convinced he will quickly become a key performer.”
MarJon Beauchamp hails from Yakima in central Washington, where he also began college in 2021 after the pandemic (30.7 ppg) before moving to NBA G League Ignite, the then development team of the league. In twelve games there, he recommended himself to Milwaukee, the 2021 champion, with an average of just under 16 points. He made 132 appearances for the Bucks, six of them in the playoffs. His best mark was 20 points in November 2022 against Atlanta.
50 points for Team USA
At the same time, he shone especially in his first two years with the Bucks’ affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 24.7 points per game in 2023/2024 (6.3 rpg, 5.7 apg). In February 2025, however, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers and, after three appearances, shortly thereafter passed on to the New York Knicks (six). Last year, starting in December, he had a small role with the 76ers (averaging 6.8 points in 14 appearances) and a very large one in the G League for the Delaware Blue Coats (23.8 points in 24 games, 37.2% from three).
In the first window of the Americas region World Cup qualifying last November, he scored 24 and 26 points for the USA against Nicaragua with a three-point percentage of 64.3% (9/14). Beauchamp’s father, Jon, played college basketball himself; his grandfather, Henry Beauchamp, who passed away in 2013, was the first African-American mayor of Yakima.
