Real Madrid have officially signed Ukrainian shooting guard Max Shulga from the Boston Celtics organization on a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027–28 season.
The 24-year-old impressed in college with Utah State and VCU, shooting 41% from three on more than five attempts per game during the 2023–24 campaign. He later established himself as one of the Maine Celtics’ best perimeter shooters in the NBA G League.
Born in Kyiv, Shulga moved to León at 11 and played for Torrelodones before leaving Spain for the United States. His outside shooting, backcourt versatility and status as a quota player make him a valuable addition to Real Madrid’s rebuilt roster.
