Panathinaikos‘ pre-season is about to start, but Kendrick Nunn will be missing.
The former EuroLeague MVP suffered a right knee injury and is expected to return to the court after the start of October.
Per Panathinaikos‘ press release: “Kendrick Nunn suffered a medial meniscus tear in his right knee during his individual workouts in the USA, and on Wednesday (19/8), he immediately underwent a successful arthroscopic partial meniscectomy”.
The good news for the Greek club and the player is that Nunn is expected to miss a limited number of official games, since he needs six to eight weeks to complete his rehabilitation.
Plus, he is banned for two Greek league games after his incident in the Greek league finals against Tyrique Jones, so he will serve his suspension while being injured.
Nunn may return to action in the EuroLeague home game against Fenerbahce in the 4th round of the regular season.
