Mathis Dossou-Yovo is the new center for ASVEL, the club announced on social media.
After losing Daniel Theis but acquiring Joel Bolomboy, ASVEL found a new center for the upcoming season in the 25-year-old player who stands 208 centimeters tall.
Dossou-Yovo has spent almost his entire career in France. After three seasons with Chalon-sur-Saône, Dossou-Yovo played two years for Saint Quentin before moving to Germany to play for Oldenburg.
He also played for Paris in the 2024-25 season, while he spent the last season with Nanterre.

One of the best players in the French championship comes to strengthen the interior sector of LDLC ASVEL with his activity, his power and his efficiency near the rim.
Trained at the Federal Centre and then passed through Chalon-sur-Saône, Évreux and Blois, the native of Châteauroux has truly revealed himself in the colours of Saint-Quentin. In the 2022-2023 season, he established himself as one of the best interiors in Pro B before confirming himself at the next level.
His career then took him to Germany, to Oldenburg, and then to Paris Basketball. With the capital club, he participated in the title of French champion 2025 and also discovered the EuroLeague.
After a first part of the 2025-2026 season in Nanterre, Mathis Dossou-Yovo has taken another step forward. A true anchor of the Ile-de-France team, he finished the season with an average of 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in Betclic ELITE, while displaying remarkable shooting efficiency. His performances allowed him to be selected in the best five of the regular season.
