Armani Olimpia Milano began their preseason with a 95-90 victory over Openjobmetis Varese despite having seven players unavailable.
Garrison Mathews led Milano with 21 points in his first appearance for the club, while Jason Burnell added 13 and Devon Hall scored 12, including several important shots in the fourth quarter.
Devin Booker recorded eight points and seven rebounds before leaving early as a precaution due to discomfort in his left foot.
