Α disciplinary procedure has been opened against Dubai BC as per the quotes of Dejan Kamenjasevic on the player Thomas Walkup, per EuroLeague official sources.

Kamenjasevic has admitted in an interview that the club had an interest in the player, something that may violate the bylaws of the competition considering the circumstances.

Meanwhile, the EuroLeague is also gathering information on the contractual situation of the player.

Walkup is absent from Olympiacos‘ pre-season and has officially asked in writing his immediate release.

Meanwhile, Olympiacos has opened its own disciplinary procedure against Walkup; however, the situation is in limbo.

In theory, Walkup can sign another contract, and his new team can ask for his letter of clearance from FIBA, and then there will be a case with FIBA deciding if they will grant permission to Walkup to play for another team.

Until this happens, Olympiacos and Walkup are in a stalemate, which can end in BAT, the FIBA Arbitral Court, for any financial issues around this peculiar situation.
