Tyler Dorsey’s contract with Olympiacos ends in the summer of 2027; his Greek contract makes him a very valuable commodity for any Greek contenders; however, his future is not yet decided.
As he said, speaking to “Amerikanos24” from Crete about the possibility of a contract extension, there’s no white smoke yet.
“My goal is never to do anything for those reasons”, he replied when asked if he is extra motivated this season because of his expiring contract.
As Dorsey explained: “I play the same every year. I do the same things every year. At the moment, we are nowhere near a deal. I told them I want to stay here since the season ended. That is out of my control. I can only control the things that depend on me. So, we are where we are. For my future, we will see what happens. My concentration is not there. Just to start the season in the best way possible and do what I usually do. I am not changing tactics in terms of certain things. My mentality is the same.”
It’s not a secret that PAOK, which managed this year to sign Cedi Osman from Panathinaikos, can give a big contract to one of the few Greek players of top level left, while it’s safe to assume that Panathinaikos would also be interested if Dorsey becomes a free agent.
