Barcelona have received encouraging news regarding Darío Brizuela after initial fears of a major setback during their Lliga Catalana final victory over iLERNA Lleida.
The guard was forced to leave the court following a heavy fall, which immediately raised concerns of a potential Achilles tendon or severe ankle issue.
However, official medical examinations completed by the club have ruled out any structural damage. Tests confirmed that Brizuela suffered a severe contusion to his right leg, entirely eliminating the possibility of bone fractures or joint lesions that would have sidelined him for an extended period.
While the diagnostic results offer a significant sigh of relief for Barça ahead of the new season, no fixed timetable has been set for his recovery. The medical staff announced that Brizuela’s availability for the upcoming fixtures will be monitored daily based on his response to treatment and rehabilitation.
