Giorgos Bartzokas has been cleared of all charges by the EuroLeague Sports Judge following a complaint from Panathinaikos over an incident at the end of Olympiacos’s game against Virtus Bologna on October 1.
According to the ruling, video footage did not support the allegations. It showed Virtus players moving toward the Olympiacos coach, rather than Bartzokas approaching them. The Italian club also testified in his support.
Meanwhile, Olympiacos said on October 8 that it had received another complaint filed by Panathinaikos with the ESAKE sports judge, this time concerning Bartzokas’s conduct during the game against Iraklis.
The club described it as the fourth complaint brought to its attention in just a few days. Alongside the EuroLeague case and the Iraklis complaint, Panathinaikos also lodged a complaint with Greek sports authorities concerning last season’s Dubai–Olympiacos game.
A separate complaint against Olympiacos was filed with the ESAKE sports judge over the club’s legal action against Dimitris Giannakopoulos concerning his unauthorized entry onto the OAKA court during last season’s Greek league finals.
In that case, Panathinaikos is seeking a two-point deduction against Olympiacos.
