EuroLeague president Dejan Bodiroga was at OAKA on Thursday to watch Panathinaikos host Fenerbahce in Round 4, with both teams entering the game with perfect 3–0 records.
Bodiroga, who won EuroLeague titles with Panathinaikos in 2000 and 2002, was greeted by fans as he made his way from courtside to the VIP seats. He also shared a warm embrace with Despina Giannakopoulou, the widow of the late Pavlos Giannakopoulos.
His visit came with a familiar image back above the court: the banner showing him celebrating Panathinaikos’ 2000 EuroLeague triumph in Thessaloniki had returned to the arena’s rafters after previously being replaced as a gesture of protest.
