The Boston Celtics have reached an agreement with Payton Pritchard on a contract extension following the most productive season of his NBA career.
The guard will receive $44.2 million over two fully guaranteed years, with a mutual option for 2029-30, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.
Pritchard averaged career highs of 17 points, 5.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds last season, further establishing himself as a key piece of Boston’s retooled roster. He won an NBA championship with the Celtics in 2024 and earned Sixth Man of the Year honors in 2025.
The option gives both sides flexibility for the final season and leaves room for further extension talks in the summer of 2029.
