Baskonia announced on their social media that they have parted ways with Paolo Galbiati, the former coach, who had been on the bench for just over 12 months.
After an excellent stint in Trento, Galbiati arrived at Baskonia, with whom he won the Copa del Rey last year. However, this season nothing has gone right.
After five rounds, the team from Vitoria has a 1-4 record in the EuroLeague, parted ways with Alex Len without a game played, and Markus Howard also left the club after four seasons.
On the other hand, Velimir Perasovic takes the helm of the Spanish team. He has already led Baskonia three times: from 2005 to 2007, from 2015 to 2016, and in the 2018/19 season. With Baskonia, he won the Copa del Rey and the Supercup in 2006.
In the past five years, he has worked as the coach of Unics Kazan.
