Tyler Dorsey heard what Chima Moneke and Jaron Blossomgame said on the “Triple Threat Show” podcast about his role at Olympiacos, in relation to a possible contract extension and when Olympiacos should offer it—and he did not leave their comments unanswered.
Chima Moneke described Dorsey as essential, while Jaron Blossomgame considered him expendable.
At that point, Dorsey picked up his phone and replied to Blossomgame and also to the show co-host Dionysis Aravantinos:
“Jaron Blossomgame, if everything I do is replaceable, why don’t you just go ahead and let me go now, especially if they don’t want to pay me. Why waste time and drama? Why does the coaching staff have that fear in their heart? Let’s find out!”
“Dionysis Aravantinos, my minutes went down out of nowhere. But no need for me to drop everything now. The truth will be told about how I been done over here; not everything what it seems like from afar!”
After his quotes, Olympiacos announced that Tyler Dorsey has been left out of the squad for the match against Barcelona and will return to Athens immediately.
Dorsey is in the final year of his contract with Olympiacos, and so far there is no progress on a possible extension.
