Injuries and absences at Olympiacos are creating both problems and opportunities for EuroLeague Fantasy managers.
Evan Fournier is out, Tyler Dorsey’s immediate future remains uncertain, and Jean Montero could miss Friday’s clash with Fenerbahce.
So, what is the best approach?
The cautious option is to avoid Olympiacos players altogether. The alternative is to gamble on the in-form Montero: if he plays, he could shoulder much of the offensive workload without Fournier and Dorsey.
The complication is timing. The Fantasy round begins tonight, October 21, before we have a clear picture of Olympiacos’ available roster. Codi Miller-McIntyre, priced at 10.6 credits, could be another option.
Diarra continues to deliver
We recommended Virtus Bologna center Aliou Diarra recently, and he continues to justify that backing.
At just 9.3 credits — having previously been available for under eight — Diarra is averaging an impressive 18.8 PIR, the seventh-highest mark in the EuroLeague.
The matchup against Hapoel Tel Aviv is demanding, but Virtus has shown resilience and relies heavily on his contribution.
Malcolm offers value at forward
Collin Malcolm is another affordable option at 8.7 credits.
The Anadolu Efes forward has established a significant role in Pablo Laso’s rotation and posted a PIR of 19 in each of his last two games.
That makes him an appealing budget pick, freeing up credits for premium players such as Sasha Vezenkov or Chima Moneke.
Finally, we should acknowledge the misses as well as the successful picks. We backed Nigel Hayes-Davis last round, only for him to produce his worst performance of the season.
