Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Virtus Bologna 90–81 in Sofia to open the seventh round of the EuroLeague.

Zach LeDay led Hapoel with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Vasilije Micic added 16 points, Tai Odiase 13 points, while Elijah Bryant scored 12, including 10 in the second half.

For Virtus, Derrick Alston Jr. and Aliou Diarra scored 12 points apiece, while Marcus Carr and Tommaso Baldasso added 10 each.

Virtus played an excellent first half, recording as many as 12 offensive rebounds, and led by 13 points early in the third quarter (51–38). However, Hapoel raised the intensity, improved defensively, controlled the boards, and fought its way back into the game before completing the comeback (79–66).

Virtus managed to add some drama late in the game, including a brief argument between Dimitris Itoudis and Alex Mumbru, but Hapoel held on to secure the victory.

Hapoel Tel Aviv is now 5–2 and will face Anadolu Efes in Sofia, while Virtus has a 4–3 record and will host Zalgiris in the next round.
