Valencia’s TJ Shorts II and Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv’s Zach LeDay have been named co-Most Valuable Players for Round 7 of the 2026–27 EuroLeague Regular Season.

They dominated their respective matchups, both posting a joint-round-high performance index rating of 33 to split the honor.

Euroleague Basketball formally confirmed the shared MVP award on Saturday.

Per the press release: “For the first time this season, two players share MVP of the Round honors in the EuroLeague. Zach LeDay of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and TJ Shorts of Valencia Basket each finished with a PIR of 33, the highest mark of any player in Round 7.

LeDay led Hapoel’s come-from-behind 90-81 home win over Virtus Bologna on Wednesday with 22 points on 4-of-7 two-pointers, 2-of-5 three-pointers and 8-of-9 free throws. He added 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 fouls drawn. It is the fifth MVP of the Round award of LeDay’s career, following one with Olympiacos Piraeus and three with Armani Olimpia Milan. He is also the second Hapoel player to win it this season, after Elijah Bryant took the honors in Rounds 2 and 3.

Shorts matched LeDay’s PIR on Friday in Valencia’s 93-104 win at Paris Basketball, his former team. Back in familiar surroundings in the French capital, Shorts dominated in just 24 minutes on the floor, scoring 25 points on 7-of-11 two-point and 2-of-3 three-point shooting while making all 5 of his free throws. He also had 9 assists and 4 rebounds. It is his seventh MVP of the Round award, and five of those came in a Paris jersey.

His Valencia teammate Armoni Brooks and Mfiondu Kabengele of Dubai Basketball each posted a PIR of 29. Brooks had 22 points on 4-of-7 three-point shooting, plus 7 rebounds and 3 assists in the win in Paris. Kabengele led Dubai to a 91-107 road win over FC Bayern Munich with 24 points on 9-of-12 two-pointers, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks.
