Armani Olimpia Milan is prepared to lock down a long-term future with Leandro Bolmaro by reaching an agreement for a contract extension through the 2028–29 season. The deal was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday.

The 26-year-old Argentine-Italian joined the Milanese club in 2024. Since then, he has steadily built up his continental experience, bringing his career total to 128 EuroLeague games. Before moving back to Europe, he logged 49 appearances in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz. He also brings valuable FIBA pedigree to the roster, having represented Argentina at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

This stability follows a poor start to the 2026–27 schedule. Under head coach Peppe Poeta, the Little Red Shoes are navigating a rough opening stretch. Bolmaro has been a reliable presence amidst the turbulence, averaging 9.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists across all competitions.

In the EuroLeague Regular Season, Milan sits at the bottom of the standings with a 1–7 record. They are currently three games out of the Play-In Showdown zone. Later Friday, in their Round 9 challenge, they face defending champions Olympiacos at Sunel Arena. Alec Peters is a game-time decision, while the rest of the roster is fully available.

In Italy’s Serie A SisalClub Regular Season, a 3–2 start has them tied for fourth place, leaving them two games behind the undefeated leaders, Virtus Costa Bologna. Resuming domestic duties on Monday, they visit Acqua s.Bernardo Cantu at PalaDesio.
