Anadolu Efes achieved a new victory in front of their fans, defeating Panathinaikos 83-68 in the ninth round of the EuroLeague.

Efes showed that they are currently playing much better at home this season, and they defeated Panathinaikos, who before this game was alone at the top of the table with seven wins and only one loss. One of the keys to the game was Cameron Payne.

Although Payne may not have had his best day in the first three quarters, he made up for it in the fourth. PAO closed the gap with a run to just one point behind (66-65), after which Payne’s series followed.

It was his three-pointer that stopped the visitors’ momentum, and then he hit another, rounding off his team’s few brilliant minutes, which helped Efes break the game (80-65).

In the end, Payne finished the game with 14 points and eight assists, as well as a plus-minus of 27 points while he was on the court.

After Mike James’ injury, the keys to Efes‘ game will be in the hands of the former NBA player, and Payne showed what he can do against the best teams in the EuroLeague.
