Positive injury updates for Partizan Mozzart Bet, highlighted by captain Vanja Marinkovic rejoining the active lineup

Partizan Mozzart Bet received a timely boost as several key players progress through their recovery timelines.

Team captain Vanja Marinkovic, who has missed the start of the 2026–27 season with an Achilles issue, is back in full training. Heading to Round 6 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, he will be available for Monday’s matchup against U-BT Cluj-Napoca at Belgrade’s Ranko Zeravica Sports Hall.

The news on the frontcourt is more mixed. Medical check-ups show that Derek Willis can rejoin the squad during the second week of November. The 31-year-old forward had picked up an ankle injury that kept him out through late October, managing just three points in his limited EuroLeague minutes before getting hurt at the top of his fourth year in Europe’s premier club competition.

Meanwhile, Tonye Jekiri is making steady progress from a groin strain suffered in mid-October. The club is monitoring how his body responds to therapy, and he will gradually ramp up his workload over the next few days. The medical staff expects him to be fully fit in about two weeks. Losing Jekiri was a blow for the team based in the Serbian capital, as he was averaging 10.2 points and 3.8 rebounds across six EuroLeague games.

These returns come at an important stretch for the team coached by Joan Penarroya. Partizan currently leads Group B of the regional competition with a perfect 4–0 record, sharing the top spot with Dubai. On the continental stage, their 4–5 record keeps them just one game out of the postseason picture.
