With Theo Maledon and Facundo Campazzo sidelined, the Dominican guard could take on a much bigger role against Panathinaikos

Injuries are an unfortunate part of basketball, but in EuroLeague Fantasy they can create opportunities to pick up affordable players whose roles are about to grow.

Last round, Cody Miller-McIntyre and Tyson Ward rewarded our recommendations as Olympiacos dealt with the absences of Jean Montero and Evan Fournier, along with the suspended Tyler Dorsey. Miller-McIntyre delivered 20.9 Fantasy points and Ward added 18.4. At 10.8 and 8.5 credits respectively, both remain attractive options, even if Fournier returns.

A similar opportunity now presents itself with Real Madrid’s Andres Feliz.

We highlighted the Dominican guard early in the season when he cost just 6.5 credits, and he has justified that confidence with an average PIR of 12.9. His price has since risen to 8.5 credits, but he still offers considerable value.

The matchup with Panathinaikos is demanding, yet Real’s injury situation makes Feliz particularly interesting. Madrid enters the game on a six-game winning streak but will be without both Theo Maledon and Facundo Campazzo, leaving Feliz as the team’s only natural point guard.

Sergio Llull and Nick Smith Jr. could help handle the ball, but Feliz looks set to carry much of the responsibility for running the offense.

That brings pressure, especially against Panathinaikos’ defense, but also the prospect of around 30 minutes on the floor if he avoids early foul trouble. At his current price, the potential return makes him worth considering.
