It’s crazy but it’s true! Elliot Williams has so far 16.4 ppg in the Euroleague with Panathinaikos. That’s the best scoring average for a Panathinaikos player since Dejan Bodiroga averaged 17.8 points during the 2000-01 season.
The number may seem small, but considering the brand of basketball played in Europe it’s more than enough in order to make a difference. And Williams since signing with the Greens, has been the X-factor that pushes them to the playoffs.
To be exact, even if the sample is very small so far, this the best average scoring output for an American player of Panathinaikos since… Dominique Wilkins!!!
