Even though Real Madrid was swept 3-0 by Fenerbahce in the playoffs, Rudy Fernandez felt that this was the best thing the reigning champs could do, given some specific difficult circumstances.
“We are proud of our Euroleague season”, he commented. “In this series Fenerbahce was better and did things better than us. We suffered several injuries during the season, we came to the quarterfinals very tired and we did the best we could”.
