Zalgiris Kaunas officially announced that it has reached a mutual agreement with Vytenis Lipkevicius to terminate his contract.

The 27-year old player leaves Kaunas after five years and will continue his career in Vytautas. In the previous season, he averaged 2.5 points and 3.4 rebounds in LKL but managed to play only one game in Euroleague due to injury.

Paulius Motiejunas, GM of the Lithuanian team, explained the logic behind the club’s decision. “We have a complete roster of around 14-15 players. So it’s natural that not all of them will receive their desired playing time. We have a young team and many up and coming players. Vytenis received a lot of interest from other teams and we finally found a solution that is beneficial to everyone. We thank him for his work with Zalgiris and wish him the best possible results.”
