After finishing the previous EuroLeague games of Panathinaikos scoreless, Alessandro Gentile dropped 10 points last night, helping his team get a victory over Unics Kazan. The Italian wing talked to Greek website Amna.gr after the match, explaining that he’s still trying to adapt to his new surroundings and the reasons why he sometimes struggles with his shooting.

“I’m still trying to find myself,” said Gentile. “I was out of action for a month before coming to Panathinaikos. I’m trying to find my shape in a new team. It’s not easy, but Xavi Pascual and my teammates trust me and help me to adjust as quickly as possible. Each time I enter the floor I try to give the 100% of my capabilities. Sometimes I leave my mark positively and others negatively. But I don’t give up… I didn’t forget what basketball is. What I want to improve is my shooting. The matter is mainly psychological and that became obvious from the fact that in the game vs Unics, all my attempts were near the basket.”
