The Turkish team improved its record to 8-16, forcing Real Madrid to their 6th loss after 24 games.

Galatasaray survived the thriller game in Istanbul and prevailed over Real Madrid 87-84.

Austin Daye was the leading scorer for the winners with 20 points, Jon Diebler added 17, Alex Tuys and Goksenin Koksal added 10 each, while Tibor Pleiss recorded 8 points and 12 rebounds.

Anthony Randolph had 16 points for the Spanish team and was their leading scorer.

In the first period, the hosts managed to lead with Vladimir Micov and Austin Daye placing their team up 25-20 after 10 minutes. The Turkish team kept a short head in the second period too, staying up 49-46.

Jon Diebler expanded the hosts’ lead to 73-55 at 18′, then Real made a small run but was stilldown by 13 after 30 minutes, 73-60.

The final period was exceptionally thrilling, as with two minutes to go, the visiting team grabbed the lead, 83-84. Still, Galatasaray restored a one-point lead with Alex Tuys hitting a shot, then a pair of free throws by Daye sealed the victory for the hosts.
