Baskonia’s triumph in Istanbul helped the team improve its record to 14-11 in Round 25.

Baskonia beat Fenerbahce (16-9) on a thriller game on the road, 74-79! Shane Larkin was the leading scoer for the visiting team with 19 points, while Rafa Luz finished with 10!

The hosts were at the lead of the game 8 minutes in, 13-8, yet Baskonia found a one-point lead at 10′ with a 3-pointer by Luz, 18-19. At 13′, Vesely put his team ahead by 2, until the visitors even to 30 points shortly after. With a 9-0 run, the Spanish team was up 43-35 at halftime.

Ilimane Diop made it a 10-point game at 25′, while Baskonia kept short leads in the game until 30′, 55-61. A shot by Bogdan Bogdanovic (who scored 26 points overall) placed the Turkish team just 4 points behind early in the final period, yet Tillie soon sent the deficit to 10 points again, 60-70. Nikola Kalinic (8 p.) and Bogdanovic then shot from afar, then Fener approached to one point. Rodrigue Beaubois (7 p.) was there to save the day for the visitors that eventually found a crucial lead at the final moments of the game!
