Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Olimpia Milano (7-18) at home with 92-82.

Victor Rudd (17 points), Colton Iverson (16 points), DJ Seeley (15 points) and Diamon Simpson (11 points) contributed a lot to a broad Maccabi victory and a much needed one.

For the opposing team, Rakim Sanders’ 19-point performance stood out, though it wasn’t enough for his team.

Abass paced Milano at 6′, giving the Italians team a 14-16 lead, then the hosts answered with a couple long-range shots and took charge 26-20 after 10 minutes. It was during the second period when the Israeli team outdid the visitors, grabbing a double-digit head midway through the period, 40-30. At halftime, the Yellows dominated 51-35.

In the second half, Milano trimmed the deficit, while at 30′, the hosts only kept a 9-point advantage, 70-61. Still, this was a wake-up-call for Bagatskis’ team, that didn’t allow any comebacks afterall!
