In theory, playing at home and having the urgency to win ment that Anadolu Efes should get the job done. This was not the case, however, in Istanbul where Brose Bamberg got an easy win.

The German champs got the win (87-68), however with just a 9-16 record they don’t have real chances to make it to the playoffs. On the other hand, Anadolu Efes remains 8th at 13-12, still its spot in the post-season is all but secure.

In the night that veteran Nikos Zisis tied Dimitris Diamantidis with 277 career games at the third place of the all-time EuroLeague list, youngster Maodo Lo had his break out performance with a EuroLeague career high of 15 points in 15 minutes.

As expected, Anadolu Efes started the game with a 23-17 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the answer of Brose Bamberg was a 16-0 run at the start of the second that gave a 33-26 lead to the Germans and a ten points advantage at half time (42-32). Defense was the key as Efes scored only 9 points in the second period and things got even worse after that.

Brose Baskets led by 19 points (58-39) with Radosevic already having 16 points, the third period ended with the score being 64-45 in favor of the guests. Nothing changed after that on the way to the final buzzer.

Nicolo Melli also scored 16 points, Darius Miller finished the game with 14 points for the winners, while Cedi Osman scored 15 points for Efes, 13 of them in the first half, and Derrick Brown added also 13.
