The head coach of Fenerbahce began the press-conference with a little joke to lighten the mood before engaging in the… more serious talk about how his team is going to perform in the Final Four.

“Our biggest problem with the Final Four is going from Europe to Asia. I’m joking of course,” said Obradovic. “What is important is what we do there, not where the matches are held. We have enough time to prepare for the game against Real Madrid. I first became EuroLeague champion 25 years ago. 25 years is a long time but my motivation is still the same. Playing in a Final Four is a very important experience. My players have to work very hard and evaluate this opportunity. We have players who carry Final Four experience. We need to be ready for everything that everything. Especially psychologically”

After mentioning “hard work”, Obradovic proceeded to talk about his players’ capabilities and the fact that they will perform in front of thousands Fenerbahce fans that will be present in Sinan Erdem Dome. “We can beat everyone but we can be beaten as well. We are very fortunate to be able to play in Istanbul because of the support of our fans. It has always been good for us. Everything will go well if we work like we did in the last two weeks. I would like to thanks the fans for their support. We are only focused on the Real Madrid game now.”

The Serbian coach added, “Our president has a big share on the Final Four success of the last three years. All of my players are very smart and work well. My biggest wish right now is that all the players are healthy.”
