Barcelona officially announced the contract termination of Shane Lawal after a mutual agreement between the two sides.

Nigerian center Shane Lawal is no longer a player of Barcelona, per the club’s official announcement.

Lawal, 30, was acquired by Barcelona on summer 2015 after signing a two-year deal following his performances in the Italian League with Dinamo Sassari. However he was heavily plagued with injuries, particularly in 2016/2017 where he didn’t have a chance to play a single game.

The player’s contract would end in the end of the season and its early termination might indicate a possible transfer coming ahead of the playoffs. The Blaugrana are on the lookout for someone that would boost the roster particularly in the “4” or “5” positions.
