According to a report by “Gazzetta dello Sport” the candidates for the coaching job are David Blatt, Joan Plaza of Unicaja Malaga, Simone Pianigiani of Hapoel Jerusalem and the big surprise, Pablo Laso of Real Madrid!
It goes without saying that it seems almost impossible for Laso to leave Spain and from those names only Blatt is expected to be a free agent.
As for the players, all the non Italians are expected to leave, even Mantas Kalnietis with whom they were negotiations about extending his contract. And the big question is what the team will do with Alessandro Gentile who still has a contract with the club for next season and that may put him back on the team’s roster after his time spend this year in Panathinaikos and Hapoel Jerusalem.
