According to a report by “La opinion de Malaga” both Baskonia and Unicaja Malaga want the player in their roster and Unicaja was really close to make a deal.
“We’ve already made him a good offer,” said Malaga’s president Eduardo Garcia. “We also had a verbal agreement with his agents but that deal fell apart after 48 hours. But we’re still talking to Jayson and he knows how much we want him back here in Malaga”.
Granger has played for Unicaja Malaga between 2013 and 2015 and Barcelona has also been rumored as a possible destination for him.
