CSKA Moscow will make Milos Teodosic the highest paid player outside the NBA in order to keep him in Europe.

The “Army Team” doesn’t want to lose the best floor general in Europe and that’s why they are making him an offer which is hard to refuse.

A total of 12 million euros for the next three seasons are on the table for the Serbian guard. With an annual salary of four million euros, Teodosic will become one of the highest-paid players ever in the history of European basketball and by far the highest-paid currently. Those are net amounts, since it’s common practice in many parts of Europe that the taxes are being paid by the clubs.

“We will try to build a stronger team and that’s why we are waiting Teodosic’s answer as soon as possible”, said team president Andrey Vatutin after yesterday’s championship win in the VTB United League.

Teodosic is also considering to give NBA a try, however in order for this move to make sense, financially, after the offer he got from CSKA, he should get a three-year deal which will pay him at least 25 million US dollars. It remains to be seen which NBA teams are willing to bet on him and provide him with such an offer. It’s more than probable, however, that Teodosic will wait until the start of July.
