Andorra officially announced that it will not match the offer sheet for All-Spanish League center Giorgi Shermadini presented by Unicaja Malaga since it considers the figures “out of reach” for the club.
The international Georgian big guy will thus join Unicaja Malaga and return to EuroLeague (which he’s won in 2009 with Panathinaikos and 2013 with Olympiacos) for the first time after 2014.
Shermadini completed the Liga Endesa season with Andorra averaging 15.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. He was named MVP of the Month three times and was also named to the “Best Five” squad of the championship.
