Since Day 1 of Sito Alonso’s arrival, Shane Larkin’s name appeared really high in the list of Barcelona’s “Most Wanted”.
Following many days of negotiations, the two sides reached a deal for a two-year, €5.5 million (gross) contract. Barcelona is sending the papers to ACB and now the ball is in the court of Baskonia.
The Basques have five days to match the exact terms of the “vinculante” (binding) offer and keep their 2016/2017 star guard.
If that doesn’t happen, then 24-year-old Larkin will officially join Barcelona.
Larkin finished his debut season in Europe averaging 13.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.
