Nikola Milutinov dominated the voting for the “Most Improved Player” of the season in Greek League and won the distinction rather easily.

He finished the season with 5.8 points and 4 rebounds in 15 minutes per game.

The Serbian center gathered 10 votes from coaches and team captains while Nikos Pappas (Panathinaikos), Nikos Gkikas (Promitheas Patras) and Antonis Koniaris (PAOK) received 3 each.

Milutinov was also voted 256 times by Media and fans while his teammate in Olympiacos Dimitris Agravanis finished second with 144.

“I want to thank everyone who voted for me as the Most Improved Player,” said Milutinov for the official site of the Greek League. “Unfortunately, the season didn’t finish the way we wanted since we didn’t win any title.”

“It’s not a secret that my first season was difficult. I was far from my country for the first time in my life. It was difficult to adapt. But everyone in Olympiacos embraced me, helped me and were certain that I’d be better in my second season. Which is what happened. I want to thank my coach, my teammates and the fans of Olympiacos for believing in me.”
