The 2017/2018 roster of Crvena Zvezda will most likely include Jonah Bolden since there’s reportedly no space for him in next season’s Sixers.

While Jonah Bolden has made some statement performances in the Summer League with the Philadelphia 76ers, he will probably return to Serbia for Crvena Zvezda.

According to Philly.com, the Australian forward is reported to be “scheduled to play with Crvena Zvezda” during the upcoming season.

The Sixers have been impressed by their 2017, 36th overall pick who averages 10 points and 5.3 rebounds in the Summer League, but there might simply be no room for him in next season’s roster.

The club has already 15 players under contract and there are two more spots remaining that should be occupied by players with two-way deals (NBA and G-League).

Crvena Zvezda is in dire need of funds and the $675.000 of Bolden’s buyout would provide a major economic relief. Still, they see one player after the other inevitably leaving for other teams and their roster getting dangerously empty.

If the 21-year-old player from Melbourne indeed joins them for next season’s EuroLeague and ABA League, they might lose the money his buy-out could get, but add a potentially major contributor.

Bolden finished the previous season with FMP averaging 12.9 points and 7.2 rebounds in ABA League.
