James Augustine is back in Spain, this time to wear the jersey of Unicaja Malaga.

Unicaja Malaga bolstered its frontline with the experience and quality of American forward/center James Augustine, the club announced today. The player signed a one-year deal with the Andalusians.

Augustine returns to Spain for the first time since 2012 when he left to play in Russia with Khimki Moscow After four seasons and one EuroCup title (2015) he joined powerhouse CSKA Moscow.

With the 2016 continental champions, Augustine averaged 6 points and 4.5 rebounds during 16 minutes per game in EuroLeague. He also won the VTB League title, notching 6.7 points and 4.4 rebounds, spending an average of 16 minutes on the floor during each match.

The 31-year-old is rather familiar with the Spanish League since he carries an experience of four seasons with Gran Canaria (2008-2010), Valencia (2010-2011) and Murcia (2011-2012).
