The final score was 80-63 as Valencia dominated the game.  The hosts tried at the start of the second half to react, Toko Shengelia scored 22 points, but he couldn’t do much alone.

On the contrary, Valencia had five players who scored 10 or more points, made 12 out of 24 threes and missed just one free throw in 23 attempts. You can’t do much against an opponent who hardly misses a shot, considering the fact that Baskonia made just five threes in 26 attempts. And as a result, the hosts have a 0-3 record.

The star: Against his old team, Tibor Pleiss was the “first among equals” in the team effort of Valencia, finishing the game with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The key: From the get-go, Valencia set the tone with a 28-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. Simply put the guests were not joking from the start.

The halftime score was 50-39 for the guests and when Baskonia reacted with a 7-0 run (50-46) at the start of the third period, the answer was furious. It started with a three by Alberto Abalde and ended with a 17-5 run (67-51) as Valencia ended the last quarter leading by 13 (67-54). The torture of Baskonia was not over, as Valencia got even a 20 points lead (74-54).
