Brose Bamberg prevailed over Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz 78-72 recording their second victory in this year’s Turkish Airlines Euroleague after a 0-2 start.

On the contrary the guests after the resignation of coach Pablo Prigioni are still trying to figure out things.

The Star: On his debut for Bamberg, former NBA champion Dorell Wright was the MVP of the match. The newcomer from Igokea had 13 points and 5 rebounds which was enough for a valuation of 20.  Lucca Staiger helped him with 12 points as he hit 4 three-pointers.

Turning point: After the close first half in the second Bamberg was the better team. They were playing with more energy on both sides of the court and that led them to the victory. To be exact, they made all the big plays when it really mattered.

However, both teams were well prepared for the game as they were tied 17-17 after the first ten minutes of action. In the quarter number two, things were pretty much the same as the result was 35-32 for the hosts. The only thing that separated two teams in the first half were three triples made by Lucca Staiger in that period.

Bamberg now has a 2-2 record and Baskonia is left at 0-4.
