After a fifth consecutive loss in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague against Unicaja Malaga, coach Velimir Perasovic expects his team to finally react.
“It is a tough moment for us. We lost three games at home. We have to change many things to become better and start winning games. It is a tough competition and every team is tough, but we have to take the extra step and win, ” he stated. “We play with tough teams. If we play mediocre, the other team will punish you, this is the EuroLeague. It is not only one thing that is a problem. We need to find a way to play better”.
Speaking about the game he added:“A very tough loss for us, especially in the final quarter. We have to play better in the final minutes of the game and Malaga got the win, and congratulations to them. In the last quarter, they scored three times in a row and our mentality was low at the time. Our second and third quarter was good but the fourth quarter was what hurt us.”
Coach Joan Plaza also commented on the game: “We did not give up, we tied the game, we fought and changed the rhythm of the game in the final quarter, showcasing our skills. We are happy for this victory, and eventually, our turnovers did not hurt us and result in a loss.”
