Zalgiris Kaunas had an easy evening against AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan and prevailed with 94-62 on the road.

The winners improved to a 3-3 record, forcing the Italians to their fifth loss in six games.

The key: By the end of the third period, the Lithuanian side had made it clear that they were in complete charge of the game, pacing Olimpia with 70-41. The initiative did not change in the final period, marking a comfortable win for Zalgiris.

After a fast-paced first quarter, the visiting side managed to pull away with five points and lead 25-20. Zalgiris’ domination continued in the second period, as Jasikevicius’ squad kept its short lead at 12′ (29-22) and even got ahead with double-digit leads in the middle of the period (41-24), one which they kept until halftime, 50-31.

The star: Paulius Jankunas, who became the sixth all-time scorer in EuroLeague by passing Sergio Llull finished the game with 13 points. The Lithuanian player now counts 2,539 points in the competition behind Juan Carlos Navarro, Vassilis Spanoulis, Milos Teodosic, Marcus Brown and Felipe Reyes!

Apart from Jankunas, Kevin Pangos also had a full performance with 12 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Not enough: Andrew Goudelock tapped 13 points for the Italian team, Jordan Theodore added 12.
